your day, in all its beautiful chaos

weddings

Weddings come in all shapes and sizes, but for me, the magic is always in intimacy. Knowing the names of the people around you, actually feeling the atmosphere, and being present in the story.

I work with couples who want their wedding day documented as it truly was: the nervous laughter before the ceremony, the way your person looks at you when they think no one is watching, the moments that won't make it into any speech but will stay with you forever. I shoot in a documentary style, observing your day and letting things unfold naturally. And when it's time for portraits, I bring a touch of the editorial, guiding you into something cinematic and beautiful without it ever feeling staged.

I work with both digital and film, because some moments deserve the texture and warmth that only analogue can give. I focus on intimate weddings where I have an opportunity to connect with the people and gain their trust.

Catarina & Miguel

We were looking for something very specific, simply to have meaningful memories of our wedding day, without the traditional full-day wedding photography coverage. We also weren’t planning an elopement, so the typical all-inclusive elopement packages didn’t really fit what we had in mind. Since our celebration was very intimate, we wanted something in between, and Polina immediately understood our vision.

She captured natural, spontaneous moments, both on film and digitally, with no forced poses and in a way that felt completely true to us. We loved it!

Polina was incredibly flexible — she covered our wedding in Vila do Conde and from the very beginning kept suggesting little extras beyond what we'd asked for. She truly captured the essence of the day, and we will treasure these photographs forever.

Polina's goal is to make you see how beautiful you truly are — and she delivers on that completely. She took the most gorgeous photos and immortalised the best day of my life. These images are something I will carry with me forever.

So what happens after you reach out?

let me take you through the journey

THIS IS OUR PROCESS

STEP 01

let's talk

Fill out the enquiry form with the details of your wedding day or elopement plan. I'll get back to you within 24 hours with my availability and the pricing guide. If I happen to be booked on that day, I'll recommend other amazing photographers.

STEP 02

booking

We'll schedule a call to chat about your ideas, locations, and must-have moments. Once you're ready to go ahead, I'll send over the contract and invoice. Your date is officially locked in my calendar once the contract is signed and the 50% retainer is paid. From that moment — I'm yours.

STEP 03

the vision

Together we'll create a shared Pinterest moodboard to make sure we're aligned on style, vibe, and any references you love. I'll also be around for you in a WhatsApp group or Instagram DMs — send me your ideas, questions, or even sudden inspiration at 2am.

STEP 04

your day

I'll arrive on time (often even 30–60 minutes earlier to get familiar with the location). From there, I'll be your calm shadow with a camera, capturing moments as they unfold and gently guiding when needed.

STEP 05

delivery

Your gallery will be ready within 2 weeks for elopements and 4 weeks for weddings. Every photo is carefully edited in my cinematic style, so when you open it, it'll feel like stepping back into the day all over again.

FAQ

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT wedding PHOTOGRAPHY IN PORTUGAL

Can we meet before the wedding?

Definitely. I always schedule a video call before you book me as your wedding photographer, so we can meet, talk about your plans, and make sure we click. The better we know each other, the more natural the photos will feel.

Do you shoot film or digital?

Both. I love mixing the nostalgic texture of 35mm film with the crisp detail of digital — film adds a certain magic you just can’t fake, and the combination gives your gallery depth, warmth, and that cinematic feeling I’m obsessed with. All packages are digital by default, and you can add analogue rolls as an add-on.

Will we receive all the photos? What about RAW files?

I don’t deliver every single photo taken, and I never send RAW or unedited files. Part of what you’re hiring me for is curation — choosing the frames that truly tell your story. The rest are duplicates, test shots, or moments you probably wouldn’t want printed anyway. Think of it this way: you wouldn’t go to a restaurant and ask the chef for the raw ingredients instead of the dish. My job is to take all those ingredients — light, composition, emotion — and turn them into something beautiful and complete for you to enjoy. You’ll still receive hundreds of carefully edited images, all ready to relive and share.

How long after the wedding will we receive our photos?

Your full wedding gallery will be ready within 4 weeks. Every image is carefully selected and colour-graded in my cinematic editing style.

Do you travel outside Lisbon?

Absolutely. Travel within 100 km of Lisbon is included in every package. Beyond that — anywhere in Portugal, Europe, or further afield — travel is simply added on top. Reach out and I’ll put together a custom quote.

Do you offer engagement or pre-wedding sessions?

Yes, and all wedding packages include a 15% discount on one. It’s a wonderful way to get comfortable in front of the camera before the big day, and it gives us a chance to spend time together so the wedding day feels completely natural. You can read more about engagement and pre-wedding sessions here.

What happens after we enquire?

I’ll send you my full guide with all the details — packages, pricing, add-ons, and how it all works. If everything feels right, we’ll schedule a call to get to know each other properly. No pressure, no commitment — just a conversation.
