These terms apply to all sessions booked with Polina Hedzenko, trading as photo-plivka.com, based in Lisbon, Portugal. For weddings and elopements, a separate client contract will also be issued — that contract takes precedence where it overlaps with these terms.

Booking and Payment

A non-refundable deposit of 50% is required to confirm your booking and reserve your date. The remaining balance is due on the day of the session. Payments are accepted by bank transfer (IBAN), Wise, cash, or online via the booking link (Stripe).

Image Delivery

Edited images are delivered via an online gallery (Pixieset) within one week of the session, unless a different timeline has been agreed in advance. Each image is carefully selected and edited to reflect my documentary approach and storytelling style.

RAW files are not provided. Unedited files are like film negatives — they're unfinished and not intended for client use. Part of what you're booking is the editing: the selection, the colour, the feel. That's the work.

Editing Style

By booking a session, you're trusting my artistic vision. My editing is natural, honest, and consistent with what you see on my website and Instagram. I don't alter natural features — no body reshaping, no skin smoothing. I may remove small, temporary things like a blemish or a piece of lint, but I aim to keep things real.

Requests for significant edits or a different editing style may incur additional fees or may not be possible. If you have specific concerns, please raise them before booking.

Use of Your Photographs

Photography is how I attract new clients. Sharing selected images from your session on my website, Instagram, and other platforms is a core part of how I sustain my work.

By booking a session, you agree that I may use selected images for portfolio, website, and promotional purposes, unless you request otherwise in advance.

If you'd prefer your photos to remain completely private, this must be discussed and agreed upon before booking. Private sessions may be subject to an additional fee, reflecting the fact that I won't be able to showcase the work. This is not a penalty — it's an honest reflection of what that means for my business.

Changing your mind after the session has taken place is not possible without additional charge. If privacy matters to you, please bring it up early.

Your images will never be sold or licensed to third parties for their own commercial use — for example, to advertise a venue, brand, or product — without your explicit written consent.

Cancellations and Rescheduling

Rescheduling

Available up to 48 hours before the scheduled session, subject to availability. A second reschedule request incurs a €50 fee.

Cancellations

The deposit is non-refundable in all cases.

Weather

If conditions on the day are genuinely unfavourable, we can reschedule at no extra charge, depending on availability. No one can promise sunshine — but we can be flexible.

Client delays

If you arrive late, that time comes out of the session duration. Sessions cannot be extended due to late arrival unless agreed in advance.

My Liability

I take every session seriously and come prepared. In the unlikely event of equipment failure, illness, or circumstances beyond my control, I will do everything I can to find a solution — including rescheduling or, where that isn't possible, a partial or full refund. My liability is limited to the fees paid for the session.

Using This Website

The content on photo-plivka.com — including all photographs, text, and design — is my intellectual property and may not be reproduced without written permission.

This website may contain links to third-party platforms (Instagram, Pixieset, etc.). I'm not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those sites.

I aim to keep information on this site accurate and up to date, but I can't guarantee it at all times.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by Portuguese law. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Lisbon, Portugal.
